South
Florida Science Museum - This museum by far is
one of my favorites! Dozens of fun, hands-on interactive exhibits
based on scientific principles, challenge visitors' ideas about
science and technology. Interactive exhibits show you how to
generate electricity with a bike, freeze your shadow, play with
matter and much more!
Natural history exhibits feature "Suzie", a 22,000
year old prehistoric animal found in Palm Beach County. Also
see an authentic Egypt Mummy in the Egypt Gallery.
You'll see native and exotic sea life from warm waters around
the world that populate the museum's aquariums, while an acre
of naturally landscaped outdoor trails feature over a dozen
original interactive exhibits. See an exciting laser and star
show that will thrill young and old alike in the Aldrin
Planetarium.

Playmobil
Funpark - PLAYMOBIL is a great place to take the kids.
Once a child sets foot in Playmobil Fun Park, located in a castle,
he or she will instantly venture into the land of imagination
in the 20,000 square foot facility. For those of you who are
not familiar with Playmobil, let me give you a little education
on the park. Playmobil manufactures a large assortment of plastic
creative toys that children love to play with! They have themed
sets of every kind - everything from Airports, Hospitals, Pirates,
Dinosaurs, Farms and much much more! If you’re visiting
here in Palm Beach County, you’re very lucky because Palm
Beach Gardens is the only FunPark Play Center in the United
States where kids and parents can actually take their child
to the park and play with the toys before you purchase them.
I don’t know of any toy companies that let you play with
the toys before you buy them. Playmobil toys are distributed
to more than 2,300 stores nationwide and are all over the world.
Ever since the park was introduced in 1974 at the International
Toy Fair in Nuremburg Germany, children have been responding
with fascination and enthusiasm for the toys.
At Playmobil your child will benefit greatly. According to Dr.
Dorothy Singer a Yale University Child Psychologist, she states
that “It provides the kind of imaginative toys that can
help children cultivate their creativity, maximize their attention
spans, learn to get along with peers, work through their emotions
and gain the academic skills that are the foundation for later
learning”.
Your child or grandchild will enjoy the unique playgrounds and
creative play events that Playmobil has to offer. The park is
divided into themed play areas filled with decorations and toys
for children 18 months and older. If you’re having a BIRTHDAY,
celebrate your child’s special day with a Playmobil Birthday
Party! Let their enthusiastic staff take care of the party.
They’ll dress up to the theme of your party, have face
painting for your kids, take care of the food and drinks and
offer a goody bag for the children to take home at the end.
The best thing about the park is after playing with your favorite
toys you can purchase them at the FunPark Fun Store. You can
purchase an entire set or buy individual pieces. If you’re
a collector, you’re lucky because you can purchase exclusive
items that you can’t buy at any other store.
For the parents Playmobil has a large area to relax. You can
purchase your favorite food & drink in the vending machines
or bring your own food. Hours of operation are Mon-Sat 10am
– 6pm and Sunday 12-5pm. Admission is only $1 per person.
